Jared Basil is an educator, facilitator, and governance leader who builds culturally safe spaces where organizations and communities can take on difficult conversations. As the founder of Eagle Eye Group, he delivers culturally safe education, training, and facilitation that equips groups to navigate reconciliation, strengthen leadership, and create respectful relationships.
Jared brings extensive governance experience, having served as Chair of the Indigenous Education Council at the provincial level, Chair of the College of the Rockies Board of Governors, and as a board member for multiple Nation-owned enterprises. He uses this leadership background to guide boards, councils, and institutions through governance challenges, helping them align decisions with both cultural values and long-term strategy.
Alongside his governance and facilitation work, Jared shares cultural teachings by leading grass dance instruction in schools and communities, connecting education with tradition. His approach is inclusive and respectful.
"Jared created a welcoming space for our team to reflect and ask questions about people and place. We've already booked him to return." - Kayleen T., Your Wayfinders Management Solutions
